We’ve spoken about both afternoon tea and bookselling cafes here at Forkout, but not combined. Well, not until now. Today Forkout is bringing you a look at the Courtyard Restaurant. Located in the Boston Public Library near Copley Square, the Courtyard Restaurant is a lovely restaurant that serves afternoon tea Monday through Saturday from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Similarly to Langham, Courtyard’s pricing isn’t easy to swallow for most. At $39 an adult and $19 a kid, most people would rather spend their time and money elsewhere. But Courtyard’s pricing isn’t just about their food- it’s about the atmosphere, the scenery, the feeling of sipping a freshly brewed pot of tea and munching on lightly salted cucumber sandwiches on an early afternoon.

The price covers three tiers of finger foods, starting with the classic scones and jam on top. There are lovely cucumber sandwiches and deviled eggs, as well as a sinfully delicious arrangement of eclairs and macarons for dessert. To pair, Courtyard offers a variety of loose teas including matcha, blood orange, etc.

What are you waiting for? Treat yourself to feeling like royalty in the Courtyard.
